Sorting Hat also tracks current events and issues.
The obvious value is getting a holistic picture of the event or issue, especially when its timeframe spans years. You may be amazed by what has already been published that you forgot or didn't know. These unknowns in some cases are profound and may affect your overall perception and opinion of the respective event or issue.
For that reason we strongly recommend scanning headlines of the entire list first, then going back and reading articles piquing your interest.
Below is our list, broken into two sections: Current/Active and Archive.
To view any list simply click the applicable Download button to the left of the filename.
Each section list is ordered chronologically in descending order by issue date. That is, the date of the first instance of the event or issue collected in the database. We lay no claims to actual beginnings of any event or issue.
You'll want to scan the entire archive initially. We recommend opening desired files in new tabs and bookmarking. You will then be able to periodically return to the updated list instantly without having to navigate to and down into its location in Sorting Hat.
Notes: 1. The number in parentheses at the end of each title is the total # of records in the report. 2. Some links, especially very old links, may be dead due to the website's content management policies. 3. We will flag updated archive files to enable quick scans by readers for new content.
